Visual Testing

Visual Inspection is performed in accordance with ANSI/AWS D1.1 Section 6.1.3, Inspector Qualification, 6.1.3.1 para. 1, 2 and/or 3. All of Halkin's Certified Weld Inspectors are certified in accordance with ANSI/AWS QC 1-88. Standard of acceptance is in accordance with ANSI/AWS D1.1, 8.15, 9.25 or 10.17.

FORMAL REPORTS are submitted at the end of each working day via mail or facsimile to as many as four locations, as designated by the customer, i.e. Owner, General Contractor, Structural Engineer and Architect. In addition to the daily reports, a final report is issued to the customer and designees at the completion of the work. All methods of inspections, acceptance and rejection criteria, and equipment used are included in the daily reports.
