#HumansOfHalkin: Meet Danielle Andrews, Field Sales Executive

“I almost can’t believe it but it was nine years in total that I travelled around the world. I couldn’t have been much older than seventeen or eighteen when I decided to save up enough money to leave the cloudy streets of Bow behind me and hop on a flight to Spain.

When I got there I met a heap of people who, like me, were dreamers. And together, we’d work hard every summer and then, with every penny we had, fly to the furthest corners of Earth and experience our common passion – culture.

Someone once said: “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” Travelling gave me perspective on my own life.

It reminded me how lucky I’ve been to have such a selfless, caring mum and why I’m so close to my sister and her children now.

Sometimes I think people presume because I’m in sales that I’m materialistic but actually it’s the health and wellbeing of those around me that I really care about.

This year I’m focussed on that. I’m investing in myself but I’m also investing in my family and friends because when it’s all said and done it’s these people that make you happy.”
